Accepts and applies direction when perfoming.
Students will know that a play or drama typically has actors, directors, producers and other support people.
Students will know that creating a play requires all members to cooperate and make compromises.
Students will know that the role of the director is to help the actors express themselves in a way that the audience will understand, and in a way that communicates clearly with the audience.
ABLE TO DO
Students will be able to follow the advice of an elder or teacher on whatever is important to their show.
Students will ask questions and work cooperatively with the people who are trying to help them.
Advanced: Students will ask for feedback, and encourage others.
PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES:
The student needs to be able to take constructive criticism and direction from teacher supervising the performance. Complaining, arguing, and not fulfilling their responsibilities will result in a non-proficient score.
