Bering Strait School District

Bering Strait School District (BSSD) is a large rural school district with offices in Unalakleet, Alaska.
BSSD serves 15 Alaska Native communities in an area roughly the size of Minnesota and North Dakota combined. The district also has a pre-vocational training and education center in Nome, Alaska that it operates in conjunction with Nome City Schools, and Northwest Arctic Borough School District.
All BSSD schools are K-12. Many of the classrooms are multi-age.
