KeyMath Teach & Practice (TAP) Alignment

The Teach and Practice sets are a great way to diagnostically / prescriptively address either a specific skill for an inidividual student, or for organizing small group math instruction around the BSSD Standards. These are most useful for the typical math concepts and operations in a K-8 math curriculum.

The KeyMath-R screening tool can be used to identify student weaknesses via item analysis. These are tied to the TAP materials as remediation, or can be used to measure progress over time as you move through any BSSD level.

The materials consist of sequential lessons that start with a teacher-delivered mini lesson for individuals or groups. These usually involve manipulatives, and could be expanded to use any modality. Students then progress through the work packets until mastery. This can take a couple of days, or a week, depending on the concept and the students. Greg Johnson purchased these sets for each BSSD school. Rebecca Concilus could explain over VTC how to use them.

These sets are very, very effective for sub-skill acquisition on a mastery model with any student population. Add Specific TAP Alignments to BSSD & Standards Here:
