Checklist for Adding Words to the Inupiaq Dictionary
- Choose a word
- Verify correct spelling and pronunciation with an elder or community member
- Make a voice recording of the pronunciation and definition of the word
- Convert the voice recording into an MP3
- Take a picture that represents the word
- import picture into iPhoto
- resize the picture if you are using OS 10.5
- resize with iphoto if you are using OS 10.4
- Upload the picture to the wiki
- Upload the sound recording to the wiki
- Make a new page on the wiki. Use your Inupiaq Word as the title of the page.
- Use the IDpage template to get the code for your page.
- Copy the Inupiaq Dictionary Template
- Fill in the Template
- Add English synonyms to the English Index
