Inupiaq Font Installation for OS 10.5

Begin by downloading the Inupiaq Font from the Alaskool Website at akaskool.org

The site looks like this: Click on the Macintosh Download link.

Now choose the "Inupiaq" folder.

Next choose "Inupiaq Normal".

Save the file to your desktop by clicking "OK".

The file will look like this on your desktop.

Double click on the hqx file and it will expand to a ttf file. (This is a font file.)

Double click on the ttf file.

In most cases, FontBook will automatically open, and you will be able to click the little "install" button.

The font will automatically be installed.

This is what you will see in FontBook.

If FontBook does not automatically open, you can find it in the Applications folder.

Just start the program, then "drop" the ttf file onto the open window.

You will see a little green "+' which means that the font will be added.

The font will now show up on the font list on many programs, like Pages, Numbers, etc.

If you are a Microsoft Word user, you will need to add it to Microsoft Word.

There are directions for this in the Word Help Menu.
