Kiiyiapaq is the Inupiaq name for mask. It is a decorative hanging mask made from beaver fur, wolverine fur & moose hide. It was made in the early 1990's, by Edith Olanna. The first step in the process of making it would be to cut out a piece of the moose hide, dampen and placed on a facial form. Before it dries out completely add the hair which is the wolverine fur, then add the ruff which is from the beaver. After it is done drying, add the eyelashes. The last step is to attach the sinew to hang the mask.
