## **PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES:**

Students create a dream house using graphing paper to design the layout, complete with walls, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Let them throw in a pool, basketball court, or deck if they'd like. When the layout is complete, create their homes using their equivalent measurement skills. (Ex. 1 cm is equivalent to 1 foot). Exlain to the student that if your bed covers an area of 15 ft. squared, then it should correlate with your layout design. The students can find the area and perimeter of each area, determine the cost of their home, etc. Very interactive project and will enforce student discussions and problem solving.
