Welcome to the OpenContent Initiative Bookshelf!

The links here lead to Open Content resources laid out in textbook format. These textbooks are all open to editing by anyone, and whether you are a teacher, student or visitor, we encourage you to contribute!

  • To edit any textbook you simply follow the blue link to that book, and use the "Edit" button at the top of the page.
  • To start a new new textbook just email John Concilus, or create a link that uses the textbook category like this [[Textbook:Your Topic Name]]

A great help in editing is the wiki editing guide from the Wikimedia Foundation. They also have an excellent one page cheatsheet that you can print out.

The chart below shows a guide to how "mature" each textbook is. As more content is added, feel free to change the image icon next to the name of the text you are editing.

These are works in progress, but even if a textbook is just in the early stages, it still may have valuable lessons that are tied to standards you wish to instruct.
