COMPLETE STANDARD:

Participates in some form of music, visual arts, dance, and/or drama activities.

STANDARD UNPACKED:

KNOW The students will know some basic forms of music, visual arts, dance and drama. (i.e. basic dance movements, chorus of a translated song, use of basic art materials, or act out a part in a play)


ABLE TO DO The student will be able to sing and act out a song in dance, drama, or create a work of art.

RESOURCES

Nursery rhymes translated into areas languages for the students to learn, for example: Itsy-Bitsy Spider, Brother John, Rabbit Song, One Little,Two,Three Little Eskimos, etc.

Carving, drum making, hunting drama or dancing, berry picking, fishing art with creative drama action ideas and materials for activities.

wood, tools, paper, drum materials-hardwood, string, airplane material, heat for tuning.

Dances made from hunting stories, local stories to create the dance songs.

Fans, drums, head dress, gloves for dancing

Participates in Christmas program or other dramatic performance

Performs with a musical instrument or sings a song

Creates artwork and puts it on display

Learns and performs a dance as an individual or group
