INSTRUCTION STRATEGIES:

Get songs and dances that you and your students would feel comfortable learning. Teach students the proper ways of various dances by having videos that show what dances they are learning and how they are supposed to move, when they are supposed to move, how long they are supposed to dance to a particular song. Students will learn from an elder singer from their village the right pitch and tone he/she is supposed to use while singing their songs. Have several dancers from your community come into your classroom to show how to dance to different family dances. Get songs and dances from other countries that have instructions on how to move to their dances and recordings of songs on how they are supposed sing them.
