Image Title =Scientific Information=Squirrel- Squirrels can be found on both arctic and alpine tundra. They eat seeds, mushrooms and berries and they almost double their weight in summer to prepare for fall hibernation. During winter, inside their hole they put grass for insulations and block the entrance with dirt. When they are hibernating, the squirrel’s body temperature drops from 98.6 degrees F to 26.4 degrees F, which means it is the lowest body temperature of any living animal.
