White Mountain is a great place to live and visit! There are many trees, rivers, mountains, lakes, hiking trails, skiing trails, and wonderful people.

We can canoe, kayak, swim, hunt, fish, birdwatch, cycle, and watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

White Mountain is the 2nd to the last stop on the Iditarod trail with a mandatory 8 hour layover for the mushers. Each spring White Mountain hosts the annual BSSD ski biathlon where junior and high school students compete along miles of beautiful groomed trails.
