PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES:

PS 4.02 Shares personal awareness of values and recognize strengths and weaknesses.

Objective: Create your own personal shield with your coat of arms representing information about yourself

Procedure:

1. Draw your shield lightly with pencil on a 45cm by 30cm piece of construction paper. The shield should be 40 to 50 cm high and 30 cm wide.


2. Divide your shield into four parts. Down the center vertically, make a crossbar about 3cm wide. Across the center horizontally make a crossbar about 3cm wide.

3. In each part of the shield draw the following.

a. On the horizontal crossbar, write your name. b. On the vertical crossbar, write your name in Yupik. c. In the upper left quadrant draw a picture of your family. d. In the upper right quadrant draw your favorite place, a place where you like to relax. e. In the lower right quadrant. Draw three things that you are good at. f. In the lower left quadrant list three positive words about yourself.
